ProCheckerboard
Two-color grid. Diner-classic, bistro-modern, infinitely versatile.
When to use
Square tiles in two alternating colors — the simplest decorative pattern and a fixture in entryways, kitchens, and bathrooms for over a century. Use high-contrast pairings (black/white, terrazzo/cream) for graphic punch, or low-contrast (warm beige + cool beige) for a calmer effect. Works at any scale.
Recommended tile sizes
Square tiles only — 4"×4" for vintage charm, 8"×8" or 12"×12" for a balanced look, 16"×16"+ for high-drama large format. The renderer alternates the two colors set in the Color panel.
Typical waste
Budget around 10% extra tile when ordering. The planner uses this as the default when you compute boxes-needed — override per project if your installer is more or less efficient.
