ProChevron
Continuous V-seams. Sharper and more directional than herringbone.
When to use
Tiles are cut on an angle so their edges meet in a continuous zigzag, forming clean V-shapes that point in one direction. Reads more deliberate and graphic than herringbone, where the V's are formed by the corners of square-edged tiles. A favorite for narrow rooms — point the V's away from you to lengthen the space.
Recommended tile sizes
Pre-cut chevron tiles are sold specifically for this layout (often 3.5"×12" or 5"×15" with mitered ends). Standard rectangles can be cut on-site, but expect 25%+ waste from the angled cuts. The preview omits grout because the angled geometry would render incorrectly — actual installation has grout between tiles.
Typical waste
Budget around 25% extra tile when ordering. The planner uses this as the default when you compute boxes-needed — override per project if your installer is more or less efficient.
